What is legalisation?
Legalisation is the process where the Notary’s identity is verified. Documents sometimes need to be legalised once notarised before they can be used abroad.
This is often by an apostille from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. However, some countries require further legalisation through their embassies
I can advise on a particular country’s requirements and arrange legalisation for you.
What is an apostille?
An apostille is a certificate issued by a designated authority in a country where the Hague Convention is in force. In England this is issued by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. It is evidence that the Notary Public is duly authorised in the jurisdiction.
